Photofractional®

Photofractional® at The Wellow combines two complementary technologies, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and ResurFX™, to address both tone and texture in a single treatment session. By targeting surface pigmentation and redness with IPL while simultaneously supporting collagen renewal and textural refinement with ResurFX™, this treatment delivers more comprehensive skin rejuvenation than either technology alone.

The Wellow Approach

At The Wellow, Photofractional® treatments are thoughtfully customized to address multiple skin concerns in a single session by combining light-based correction with fractional laser resurfacing.

IPL for Tone and Clarity

IPL targets areas of excess pigmentation and helps reduce the appearance of brown spots, redness, and uneven tone.

Combined Treatment Experience

Using both technologies in one session allows patients to address multiple concerns within a single treatment plan, helping support gradual, natural-looking improvement in tone and texture.

ResurFX for Texture and Smoothness

ResurFX™ fractional technology supports collagen production and helps improve the appearance of fine lines, texture irregularities, and mild scarring.

The Science Behind Photofractional®

Photofractional® uses IPL to target pigmentation and visible redness by delivering light energy into the upper layers of the skin. This energy helps break up discoloration and supports a more even-looking complexion.

The ResurFX™ fractional laser then creates controlled microchannels in the deeper layers of the skin to support collagen remodeling. As the skin heals, collagen stimulation helps refine texture, soften the appearance of fine lines, and promote smoother and more radiant skin.

The combined approach allows for visible improvement in both tone and texture over a series of treatments.
