The Science Behind IPL Photofacial

The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacial uses broad-spectrum light to target benign pigment irregularities and visible vascular concerns beneath the skin’s surface. When the light energy is absorbed by melanin or hemoglobin, it gently heats these cells, helping to break down discoloration and encouraging the body’s natural healing response. This process also supports collagen production, improving the appearance of sun damage and redness, and may also help improve minor acne-related discoloration, while enhancing overall tone and texture for clearer, more radiant-looking skin.
