ResurFX™ Laser Skin Resurfacing is a fractional, non-ablative laser technology that delivers controlled microbeams of energy into the skin. Because the skin’s surface remains largely unharmed, healing is faster, with typically minimal redness or downtime. Before and After Care Instructions

Before Your Treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for two to four weeks prior to treatment.

Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and acid-based skincare products for five to seven days before treatment. 

Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or other resurfacing treatments in the treatment area for one week.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the day of treatment.

Inform your provider of all medications, recent treatments, or skin conditions.

If you have a history of cold sores, discuss preventive antiviral medication with your provider before treatment.

After Your Treatment

Expect mild redness or warmth, similar to a sunburn, which typically resolves within one to two days.

Avoid direct sun exposure and apply broad-spectrum SPF daily.

Avoid heat, hot showers, strenuous exercise, and sweating for 24 to 48 hours.

Use gentle, hydrating skincare products and avoid active ingredients for five to seven days.

Do not exfoliate or use abrasive products while the skin heals.

Makeup may typically be applied the following day unless otherwise advised.
