Before and After Care Instructions

Before Your Treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 2 to 4 weeks prior to treatment.

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol for one week before treatment, if approved by your physician.

Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and acid-based skincare products, including AHAs, BHAs, and vitamin C, for one week prior.

Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or other skin treatments in the treatment area for one week.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the day of treatment.

Remove jewelry near the treatment area.

Eat a light meal and stay well hydrated before your appointment.

Wear comfortable clothing.

Inform your provider if you are pregnant or nursing, have a pacemaker or metal implants, have active skin conditions such as acne, cold sores, or eczema, or have had recent neurotoxin, dermal filler, or facial procedures.

After Your Treatment

Avoid makeup for 24 hours following treatment.

Expect redness, warmth, or mild swelling similar to a sunburn, which typically resolves within a few days.

If swelling or redness is significant, cool compresses may be used. Avoid direct ice contact with the skin.

Scabbing or light peeling may occur. Do not scratch, pick, or exfoliate treated areas.

Avoid exercise, excessive heat, hot showers, and sweating for 3 to 5 days.

Cleanse the skin gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.

Use a light, hydrating moisturizer and avoid active products, exfoliants, acids, or serums during the healing period.
